July 2026 Ramblings

'July' its still the slow summer sales season but this allows us to organize our orders from the tannery ahead of our busy sales season. We have new things designed and ordered and we are excited to see them arrive in a month or two.

Sheepskin 'bear' rugs will be back! Some of our long time followers may remember the large black bear sheepskin rugs that we had in a couple years ago, the new design is smaller so it sits next to beds perfectly and for smaller spaces in general. These will be a hit! We have three colours on order.

Sheepskin slippers, we have a brand new design that will be the most comfortable version ever. We have ordered all the usual sizes, and some extra large sizes too. 

Spotted Highland sheepskins, we have 90 sheepskins stuck in Canadian customs at the moment, fingers crossed that we receive them within the next couple of weeks. 

Merino sheepskins and cushions in all sorts of bright jolly colours should be here around September along with more of our 'rotund sheep' cushion design. 

I find the summer months difficult, I'm used to being very busy packing orders and listing new things with no time for anything else and its difficult to switch to a slower pace without feeling absolutely nuts. Obviously I need to take more advantage of these months for napping and tea in the garden watching chickens.  The neighbours cat has adopted us too, Angus named him 'Blacky Chan' after the actor 'Jackie Chan', then we found out that his name was actually 'Dumpy' which sounds a lot less sophisticated but nonetheless its his given name. The next blog post we will catch up what has actually arrived in store that is brand new for us.
